*there's a trip to the hospital

Here is a bit of what the trip from our house to the hospital looks like.
Above is the downtown skyline.
Below are a few more sights along the way.

As for Baby Will, he is still hanging in there. The excitement of having a new member of the family has worn off a little and now we just feel like we make a lot of trips to the hospital! It is definitely worth it but doesn't feel very normal. We wish we could take care of him at home. And we're pretty sure he wishes he was home too!

It turns out he will stay on the ventilator for a little while longer. We won't be getting him out of the incubator to hold until that's done but we're really looking forward to doing so.

I've been hesitant to share Will's newest weight in case for some reason he were to lose the weight again. However, it has been consistent for the past couple of days so we're happy whether it changes or not. 2 lbs, 8 oz! His long, skinny fingers are looking a little more plump now.

How much Will weighs isn't really the most important thing about his health right now. But since there is a lot of waiting involved it has been nice for Chris & I to follow. The hospital staff continue to increase the amount he is fed and so far he is tolerating the feedings well.

The Will picture of the day is featuring his sideburns. See above. They seem a little long for such a tiny boy! He has lost a little hair on top and sometimes I would swear it's turning blonde...that's probably not true but as you can see I am endlessly entertained by his hair.

Jody, Thank you so much for sharing this with me. I have been in the loop through Julie, but wanted to let you know that I have you, your hubby, and baby Will in my prayers. God is good and loves baby Will and has huge plans for him. He will be home before you know it! Hang in there and let us know if there is anything we can do. Until then, I will continue to lift you all up in prayer! Love, Jennifer Early

Oh, Little Elvis! Those sideburns are too cute! I remember when my nephew was born, he even had little splotches of hair on his shoulder blades! I am so happy for the weight gain, and love seeing his different poses! I imagine you are dying to get him fully in your arms! I can't wait to see that post!!!
